Your agency's name is on the CAS now. Here's what that means.
From 7 April 2026, UK universities that work with agents record who the agent is on every Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies. For an agency, every file you send is now traceable back to you.

What changed
UK sponsor guidance published on 7 April 2026 made two things mandatory for universities that recruit through agents. They must commit to the Agent Quality Framework, and they must record the agent's name, contact details and office on each CAS they issue.
Before, a university knew which agents it worked with. Now the link between an agency and each individual student's visa application is written into the CAS itself.
Why it matters for Pakistani agencies
It lands in a hard year. British Council figures published in September 2026 show UK study visas granted to Pakistani students fell 72% in the first quarter of 2026 and 90% in the second, against the same quarters a year earlier, with refusal rates of 40.4% and 34.1%. Several UK universities have already restricted recruitment from Pakistan.
When a university reviews which agents its refused students came through, the answer is now on every CAS. An agency with a pattern of incomplete funds evidence or weak interview preparation becomes visible, and so does an agency whose files are consistently right.
How to stay ready
- Know exactly how you appear. Make sure the name, contact and office your partner universities hold for you are current, and the same everywhere.
- Keep counsellor training on record. Universities working to the Agent Quality Framework ask about it. Have dates and certificates to hand.
- Log complaints and how you resolved them. A clear record answers a partner's question in minutes rather than days.
- Check the file before the CAS, not after. Most refusals trace back to funds and credibility. Catch them while there is still time to fix them.
- Know your own refusal picture. Track outcomes per counsellor and per destination, so you see a problem before a university does.
Polaris keeps the register for you
The agent register holds what's recorded on each CAS, your counsellors' training and any complaints, and owners see every counsellor's files and outcomes in one view.
